West Coast Recap (12/13)

BY AIDAN CARLSEN

NBA

  • Lakers lose 126-111 to Rockets. The Lakers’ two-game winning streak came to an end at the hands of James Harden, who put up 50 points.
  • The Spurs smacked the Lakers around in a 125-87 rout. In a battle of two lame logo’s, the team that looks like a football field-goal post beat the team whose initials are inside a basketball. Tobias Harris (no, not the Arrested Development Tobias) led the Clippers with 17 points.

NHL

  • The Kings continued their joke of a season with a 4-1 loss to the Blue Jackets. Dustin Brown got the Kings’ lone goal and once again proved why he deserves a $5.875 AAV until 2021-22.
  • The Coyotes are finally playing like themselves again as they lost 3-1 to the Sabres. They’ve now lost four straight and I feel bad for their fans once again. Let the underperforming continue!
  • The Sharks beat the Stars 3-2 in a game that nearly put me to sleep in the first period. Nice to see that a fully-healthy Sharks squad can barely beat a Stars team missing two of their best defenders. Stanley Cup here we come!

NFL

  • The Chargers defeated the Chiefs at Arrowhead, 29-28, in a game that was really entertaining. Justin Jackson had 16 carries for 58 yards and a touchdown, while Philip Rivers threw for 313 yards, two touchdowns, and was picked off twice. Rivers also had another four kids before halftime was over.
