Move over Bronx Bombers the Seattle Sluggers are here baby. The M’s have hit a home run in all 13 games this season and they ain’t going to stop. They are currently tied for the second most consecutive games with homer to start the season, one back of the Indians’ record of 14 set in 2002. And guess who kept the streak alive on Tuesday? Old man legend Jay Bruce. Bruce was one of five players acquired from the Mets in the Cano/Edwin Diaz deal this offseason and it’s paying off. Yeah he might be hitting .188 on the season but he just hit his seventh home run of the season, tying him with Cody Bellinger for the league lead.
Oh you know what else? The M’s lead the league in ding dongs and it’s not even close. As of Tuesday the M’s have 33 home runs on the season. Second on the list is the Dodgers at 24. Oh also the M’s have the best record in baseball at 11-2. You thought this was a rebuilding year? Ha sike. This is a World Series year. Yeah that’s right. You heard it here first. Jerry Dipoto fooled us all. Call your bookie and put your money on the M’s because we’re going all the way.
